The Boring Stuff

Terms & Conditions

By purchasing from Precision Grain Wood Co., you agree to the terms outlined below. These policies exist to ensure transparency, protect the integrity of our work, and set clear expectations for both parties.

Orders, Condition & Reporting Issues

Each piece we create is carefully inspected before leaving our shop. Because our work is handcrafted and made from natural materials, minor variations are normal and part of the character of each board.

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or with a defect that may have been missed during inspection, you must contact us as soon as possible after delivery. Issues should be reported immediately upon receipt so we can properly assess the situation and make it right.

Reports made weeks or months after delivery will be assumed to be the result of normal use, handling, or environmental factors rather than a manufacturing issue. For this reason, delayed claims may not be eligible for replacement, repair, or refund—especially for custom or one-of-a-kind pieces.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the custom and handcrafted nature of our products, returns and refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Custom orders, personalized designs, and bespoke inlay boards are generally non-returnable unless a confirmed issue is reported immediately upon delivery.

We reserve the right to deny refunds or replacements if damage appears consistent with normal wear, improper care, or use after delivery.

Natural Materials & Product Care

Our cutting boards are made from real wood—a natural material that responds to its environment. Over time, signs of use such as knife marks, surface wear, and subtle changes in appearance are normal and expected.

Improper care, including excessive moisture exposure, soaking, dishwasher use, or failure to oil the board regularly, may result in warping, cracking, or other damage. Precision Grain Wood Co. is not responsible for damage caused by improper care, environmental conditions, or normal wear over time.

We strongly encourage customers to follow our recommended care instructions to ensure the longevity and performance of their board.

Wood’s Natural Variations

Because each piece is made from real, natural wood, variations in grain pattern, color, shading, knots, and mineral streaks are inherent and unavoidable. Product photos are sometimes provided as examples, and no two boards will ever look exactly alike. Differences between a finished piece and example images — including subtle variations in tone or grain — are not considered defects, but rather a defining characteristic of handcrafted wood products.

Limitation of Liability

Precision Grain Wood Co. is not liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of our products. By purchasing and using our products, customers assume responsibility for proper care, handling, and maintenance.
